Perfect Heart

2 Chronicles  25:2 And he did that which was right in the sight of the LORD, but not with a perfect heart.

Praise the Lord!

Today we will meditate upon a most important part of our body. THE HEART
God desires that your heart be perfect in his sight.

When I started to meditate on this. I realized that there is a lot to learn on this small part of the body(heart). Which is given utmost importance by the creator.

Genesis  6:5  And God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.

God saw that the heart which he created would  always imagine wicked thoughts and needs to be perfected. Today, People do everything that seems good to their heart without thinking the consequences.

So what does it mean to be a Perfect Heart?

Traits of a Perfect Heart

1. A perfect heart will be joyful in the Lord at all times. ( Psalms 4:7)

2. A perfect heart will seek to please the Lord at all times. ( Psalms 119:11)

3. A perfect heart will praise God in all situations. (Psalms 64:10)

4. A perfect heart will choose to be good and faithful even though it may give him grief. ( Psalms 73:13)

5. A perfect heart will cry continually to do Lord's will. (Psalms 84:2)

6. A perfect heart will always fear God in all situations. ( Psalms 86:11)

7. A perfect heart will be fixed on the Lord trusting him at all times. Knowing that he is faithful. (Psalms 112:7)

So, how would a imperfect heart be?

A imperfect heart would think on these terms.

Galatians  5:19 Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness,

Galatians 5:20 Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies,

Galatians 5:21 Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.

Benefits of a perfect heart.

1.  A perfect heart will break all the curses in your life. ( Genesis 8:21)

2. A perfect heart will bring blessings for our family. ( Deuteronomy 5:29)

3. A perfect heart will guide you in God's word everyday. (Deuteronomy 8: 5)

4. A perfect heart will never bring any defeat in your life. ( Joshua 23:14)

5. A perfect heart will bring promotion in your life. (Job 7:17)

6. A perfect heart will bring God's impeccable security for you. You will never fear any enemy rest of your life.
(Psalms 7:10)

7. A perfect heart will ensure that Lord fulfill all your desires. He will hear all your prayers. ( Psalms 10:17)

Be Holy as I am Holy.

Today let's seek to perfect our heart and give him praise, honor and glory.

Let's not walk like fools who deny God and will face the consequences.

Psalms  14:1  The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good.

Finally, let's think like King David as he said in his Psalms.

Psalms  19:14  Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O LORD, my strength, and my redeemer.

God Bless

Who is your counsellor?

2 Chronicles  22:3 He also walked in the ways of the house of Ahab: for his mother was his counsellor to do wickedly.

Praise the Lord!!

Today we will meditate upon the counsel and how to choose the right counsel.

Counsel means advice, guidance, direction or instructions given to someone.

In old testament Kings were very particular with the counsel being given to them. A wrong counsel would cost them the kingdom and bring the wrath of the Lord.

Why do we need counsel?

Sometime we may not be able to understand the situation and would take the step which may not be favorable for us or may lead to destruction.

Proverbs  12:15  The way of a fool is right in his own eyes: but he that hearkeneth unto counsel is wise.

Here we can find out that if we don't take counsel while performing our task we are being termed as fools.

Types of counsellor

1. Counsel of Men or Princes

Numbers  31:16  Behold, these caused the children of Israel, through the counsel of Balaam, to commit trespass against the LORD in the matter of Peor, and there was a plague among the congregation of the LORD.

Notice how specific Lord mentioned that counsel of Baalam who was a respectable man, a prophet counselled people of Israel to destruction.

We must guard our heart from evil counsellor who would come in sheep clothing.

2. Counsel of God.

Judges  18:5  And they said unto him, Ask counsel, we pray thee, of God, that we may know whether our way which we go shall be prosperous.

Counsel of God should be sought for everything. We must never withhold our plans to him.

Proverbs  16:3  Commit thy works unto the LORD, and thy thoughts shall be established.

Before planning, seek God's counsel and your ways will be prosperous.

Why God's Counsel.

1. His counsel will give you understanding. ( Deuteronomy 32:28)

2. His counsel will give you victory. ( Judges  20:23)

3. His counsel will give you strength, wisdom. ( Job 12:13)

4. His divine protection is promised to those who seek his counsel.
( Psalms 73:24)

5. His counsel will destroy all the enemies plans. (Psalms 33:10)

Saints there is a word of caution if we don't seek God's counsel everyday. If you don't ask Holy Spirit to guide you in his plans and seek his face. There is a destruction waiting for the simple.

Micah  4:12  But they know not the thoughts of the LORD, neither understand they his counsel: for he shall gather them as the sheaves into the floor.

King Saul was a great king and won many battles for Israel. But when he forsook Lord's counsel. He was rejected by the Lord and afterwards when he seeked Lord's will. Lord did not answer him.

1 Samuel  14:37  And Saul asked counsel of God, Shall I go down after the Philistines? wilt thou deliver them into the hand of Israel? But he answered him not that day.

Saints, today as you hear the word don't harden your heart seek his counsel and make your plans prosperous.

God Bless.

Lord's Battle

2 Chronicles  20:15  And he said, Hearken ye, all Judah, and ye inhabitants of Jerusalem, and thou king Jehoshaphat, Thus saith the LORD unto you, Be not afraid nor dismayed by reason of this great multitude; for the battle is not yours, but God's.

Praise the Lord!!

Today we will meditate upon the above verse. Whenever I read this verse, it gives me immense hope, confidence and strength. Because God's word is all powerful.

Yes!!! The Battle is Lord's, no matter whatever you are going through, it doesn't matter who is against you, it doesn't matter how strong your enemy is.

                IT IS LORD'S BATTLE

How will he deliver in his battle?

1. He will deliver your soul in peace.
(Psalms 55:18)

2. Your enemies will turn their back and flee from you. (Psalms 78:9)

3. He will be your strength and cover you in his wings so that nobody can harm you. (Psalms 140:7)

4. He will provide you safety.( Proverbs 21:31)

5. You need not fight in the Lord's battle, but have to stand still and watch the salvation of the Lord. (2 Chronicles 20:17)

Does Lord fight all the battles?

1 Samuel  4:10 And the Philistines fought, and Israel was smitten, and they fled every man into his tent: and there was a very great slaughter; for there fell of Israel thirty thousand footmen.

Lord will fight your battles if you are right in his eyes.

What must we do so that Lord should fight all the battles?

1. Be strong and have good courage in the Lord. (Joshua 1:6)

2. Observe the law and commandments of the Bible. (Joshua 1:7)

3. Meditate the scriptures days and night. (Joshua 1:8)

4. Have faith in Him. (Deuteronomy 20:3)

5. Pray fervently and without ceasing till you get the victory. ( 2 Kings 19:20)

Are you confused, worried, troubled? Is your spirit troubled? Are you tormented by the enemies, your peers, supervisor or office colleagues.

Psalms  46:10  Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth.

God bless
