Way of the Lord

Exodus  33:13 Now therefore, I pray thee, if I have found grace in thy sight, shew me now thy way, that I may know thee, that I may find grace in thy sight: and consider that this nation is thy people.

Praise the Lord!!

Today we will meditate upon the way of the Lord.

Bible says there is a way which seems good to a person's eye but the end is death. ( Proverbs 14:12)

We must be like Moses asking God to show his way.

Way of the Lord

1. Ways of the Lord is righteous. (Psalms 5:8)
2. Ways of the Lord is perfect.( Psalms 18:30)
3. Ways of the Lord will guide you. (Psalms 25:9)

How do you know you are in way of the Lord?

1. Ways of the Lord will test you to know what is there in your heart. ( Deuteronomy  8:2)
2. Ways of the Lord will teach you to be patient and trust him (Psalms 37:34)
3. Ways of the Lord will lead you to truth. ( Psalms 86:11)

What should be your attitude when you are in the way of the Lord?

1. Fear the Lord and submit unconditionally. (Deuteronomy  10:12)
2. Love the Lord with all your heart and soul. ( Deuteronomy  10:12)
3. Serve the Lord with all your heart and soul.( Deuteronomy  10:12)

If you follow his commandments and walk in his ways.
1. Lord will make you a blessing for the nation.( Deuteronomy  11:23)
2. Wherever you go; you will find good success. ( Deuteronomy  11:24)
3. No enemy can stand before you.
( Deuteronomy  11:25)
4. He will give you charge over your enemies.(Zechariah 3:7)
5. You will be elevated to a highest position. (Zechariah 3:7)

Saints, let's follow his path to righteousness. And love the Lord with all our heart, soul, mind and spirit.

Tabernacle of God

Exodus  33:7  And Moses took the tabernacle, and pitched it without the camp, afar off from the camp, and called it the Tabernacle of the congregation. And it came to pass, that every one which sought the LORD went out unto the tabernacle of the congregation, which was without the camp.

Praise the Lord!!

Today we will meditate upon the Tabernacle of God.

Tabernacle means meeting place of worship. In old testament we found the tabernacle was pitched outside the camp of the Israelites.

Why was tabernacle build?

1. Israelites sought the Lord for guidance. ( Exodus 33:7)
2. They came together to worship the Lord (Psalms 84:1)
3. They came to tabernacle to fellowship with the Lord (Psalms 132:7)

But that was not God original plan, Lord wanted to dwell with his people. ( Ezekiel 37:27)

Ezekiel  37:27  My tabernacle also shall be with them: yea, I will be their God, and they shall be my people.

He promised to raise a tabernacle in the midst of people. (Amos 9:11) ( Acts 15:16)

What does tabernacle mean in new testament?

Tabernacle means
1. Believer of Christ. (2 Corinthians 5:1)
2. Children of God who do his will and seek to please Christ. (James 1:23)
3. Children of God who seek his second coming so that we would be with him eternally. (2 Corinthians 5:4)

Hebrews  9:11  But Christ being come an high priest of good things to come, by a greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands, that is to say, not of this building;

New testament tabernacle was built not by hands as it was built in days of Moses. But you are the building of Christ built with Holy Spirit in a perfect manner.

Reason for building a tabernacle in new testament

Revelation  21:3  And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God.

1. God wants to dwell in you.
2. God wants you to be His prized possession.
3. God wants to fellowship with you wherever you go.

Saints!! Know that you are the building of Christ hence present your bodies as a living sacrifice.

Romans  12:1  I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.

Presence of the Lord

Exodus  33:14 And he said, My presence shall go with thee, and I will give thee rest.

Praise the Lord!!!

Today we will meditate upon the presence of the Lord.

Lord has promised his children that his presence will go with them. Wherever they go.

What does the presence of the Lord do to a believer?

1. Presence of the Lord gives you rest from all your troubles. (Exodus 33:14)
2. Presence of the Lord gives you joy in the heart. (Psalms 16:11)
3. Presence of the Lord protects you from stumbling (Psalms 17:2)
4. Presence of the Lord protects you from your enemies. ( Psalms 31:20)
5. Presence of the Lord drives away the wicked plans of the enemy. (Psalms 68:2)
6. Presence of the Lord gives you a thankful heart.(Psalms 95:2)
7. Presence of the Lord will satisfy all your needs (Psalms 100:2)

How should we come into the presence of the Lord.

1. We should come with fear and trembling acknowledging the sins we have committed in his presence.(Psalms 114:7) ( Jeremiah 5:22)
2. We should come with full faith and expectations knowing that He will fulfill all our petitions ( Hebrews 10:22)
3. We should come into His presence giving thanks for all the goodness He has done for us. (Psalms 14:13)
4. We should come into his presence with patience knowing that he is the rewarder of our efforts ( Zephaniah  1:7)
5. We should delight in approaching the Lord (Isaiah 58:2)
6. We should come into his presence seeking for his counsel ( Isaiah 58:2)

How will we know we are in his presence?

1. When we are in his presence he will speak to us with a small still voice and guide us for the task we need to do. (Isaiah 30:21)
2. We will receive peace in our heart when we come into his presence. (Philippians 4:7)
3. When we will come into his presence we will be filled with hope and joy ( 1 Thessalonians 2:19).

Saints, let's speak like Moses.

Exodus  33:15 And he said unto him, If thy presence go not with me, carry us not up hence.

Let's come into his presence acknowledge him as God and Saviour. He is eager to hear from you and yearns for your fellowship.

Hebrews  3:15  While it is said, To day if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts, as in the provocation.

Book of Life

Exodus  32:33  And the LORD said unto Moses, Whosoever hath sinned against me, him will I blot out of my book.

Praise the Lord!!

Today we will meditate upon the book of life.

1. What is the book of life?

Wikipedia definition:

In Christianity and Judaism, the Book of Life(Hebrew: ספר החיים, transliterated Sefer HaChaimGreek: βιβλίον τῆς ζωῆς Biblíon tēs Zōēs) is the book in which God records the names of every person who is destined for Heaven or the World to Come

Yes!! Lord keeps record of all the people who would be with him in the end of days.

World knows this truth. Every religion teaches this truth that there is a book being maintained by the Almighty God. Who is righteous, holy, all knowledgeable, mighty and jealous.

2. What should we do to ensure our name is written in the book of life.

Joshua  1:8  This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.

We have a book which is inspired by the Holy Spirit, and to ensure our name be written in the book of life.

We should
1. Meditate the word day and night.
2. Constantly communicate with others in the word.
3. Practice the commands written in the Bible.

3. Whose name will not be written in the book of life?

Galatians  5:19 Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness,

Galatians 5:20 Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies,

Galatians 5:21 Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.

King David prayed like this for those who live wickedly.

Psalms  69:28  Let them be blotted out of the book of the living, and not be written with the righteous.

In the end times there will be many wolves in sheep clothing. Who may appear righteous but are ravening wolf who will destroy your life.

Saints we need to be careful and lead a life which is pleasing to the Lord.

Revelation  21:27  And there shall in no wise enter into it any thing that defileth, neither whatsoever worketh abomination, or maketh a lie: but they which are written in the Lamb's book of life.

4. Who shall not enter into heaven?
1. Anyone who is unholy
2. Anyone who works wickedly.
3. Anyone who constantly lies to his people.

Prayer

Father God, I come into your presence. I acknowledge myself as a sinner, I have committed lots of sins against you which doesn't make me worthy to enter your kingdom. But I come into your abundant mercy and love and promise to lead a life pleasing to you. Blot out my sins, wash me in the blood of Jesus, make me holy as you are Holy. In Jesus name. Amen

Tables of Stone

Exodus  32:16 And the tables were the work of God, and the writing was the writing of God, graven upon the tables.

Praise the Lord!!

Today we will meditate upon the tables of stone. It is a great wonder that Lord chose a substance of such a low cadre to write his commandments. He could have chosen platinum, gold, sapphire or any other stone. Some scholars debate that God chose sapphire to write the commandments.

Exodus  34:4 And he hewed two tables of stone like unto the first; and Moses rose up early in the morning, and went up unto mount Sinai, as the LORD had commanded him, and took in his hand the two tables of stone.

But here Moses was given specific instructions to hew the stone as the first and prepare to receive the commandments.

Nature of a stone.
1. Ugly in appearance.
2. Stubborn in nature.
3. Hard to mould.

Notice how God specifically instructed Moses to hew the stone. To prepare it, clean it, polish it so that he can write the commandments with his own finger.

Similarly our heart is like that stone. We don't receive the commandments due to our stubborn nature. It is ugly in appearance and hard to mould.

Matthew  15:19  For out of the heart proceed evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, blasphemies:

What should we do to receive the commandments?

Psalms  10:17  LORD, thou hast heard the desire of the humble: thou wilt prepare their heart, thou wilt cause thine ear to hear:

Psalms  26:2  Examine me, O LORD, and prove me; try my reins and my heart.

1. Allow God to prepare the heart to receive the commandments.
2. Be humble to hear the small still voice of the Holy Spirit.
3. Be watchful that you don't do anything that brings displeasure to God.

2 Corinthians  3:3  Forasmuch as ye are manifestly declared to be the epistle of Christ ministered by us, written not with ink, but with the Spirit of the living God; not in tables of stone, but in fleshy tables of the heart.

Saints, we are living in end times where the enemy will try every trick possible to captivate your heart, it may be through media or people.

Protect you heart from everything that keeps you away from Jesus.

Prayer for restoration

Father God, I come into your presence. I repent for committing all the presumptuous sins in my heart. I surrender to you today. Kindly prepare me and make me ready for that judgement day. In Jesus name I pray Amen.

God Bless

Take out the Leaven

Exodus  32:27 And he said unto them, Thus saith the LORD God of Israel, Put every man his sword by his side, and go in and out from gate to gate throughout the camp, and slay every man his brother, and every man his companion, and every man his neighbour

Praise the Lord!!

Today we will continue in the series of Exodus, where we will meditate on whom should we associate or have fellowship in this world.

It is said in
Proverbs 13:20 “He that walketh with wise men shall be wise: but a companion of fools shall be destroyed.”

There is a popular saying " Show me your friends and I will tell you who you are"

Saints, at the outset it appeared very cruel that Lord who was wroth with Cain that he killed his brother Abel. Now commands that these Israelites who were their brothers and neighbors be killed.

1. Why were they killed?

Notice these people who are called as Israelites were :

1. Adulterers
2. Ceasing to obey the commandments.
3. Stubborn in nature.
4. Wicked people
5. Full of malice

Hosea  7:4  They are all adulterers, as an oven heated by the baker, who ceaseth from raising after he hath kneaded the dough, until it be leavened.

1 Corinthians  5:8  Therefore let us keep the feast, not with old leaven, neither with the leaven of malice and wickedness; but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth.

Bible says.

Exodus  20:5  Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the LORD thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me;

Exodus  34:14  For thou shalt worship no other god: for the LORD, whose name is Jealous, is a jealous God:

Jealous God

Our Lord is jealous over you. He cannot tolerate anything which is not in accordance to his will.

2. What should we consider while associating or fellowshipping with brothers or family.

1. Don't follow tradition which are not in accordance to the Bible.
2. Don't follow your unsaved friends or unsaved family members advice blindly. Seek the Lord's advice.
3. Don't provoke the Lord to jealousy.

As Bible says:

1 Corinthians  5:7  Purge out therefore the old leaven, that ye may be a new lump, as ye are unleavened. For even Christ our passover is sacrificed for us:

Galatians  5:9  A little leaven leaveneth the whole lump.

We need to always keep in mind what Bible says about your relationship and whether the fellowship is in accordance to Lord's will.

We are living in end times and Jesus is coming soon to judge the world.
Be watchful and pray that you may not fall into temptation.

Bible says:

1 Corinthians  10:22  Do we provoke the Lord to jealousy? are we stronger than he?

Whose side are you on

Exodus  32:26 Then Moses stood in the gate of the camp, and said, Who is on the LORD's side? let him come unto me. And all the sons of Levi gathered themselves together unto him.

Praise the Lord!!

Saints, Today we will meditate upon an important question which has always been a topic of discussion for ages.

1. Whose side should we be on?

In today's world people have a HERD mentality, they follow anyone who is popular, strong, presentable, showoff and  powerful. But is this the right way?

Bible says :

James  1:8  A double minded man is unstable in all his ways.

2. Whom should we trust?

Bible says:

Psalms  118:8 It is better to trust in the LORD than to put confidence in man.

I am reminded of a famous debate between Elijah and Baal worshippers. Untill then Israelites would worship God Jehovah with whole heart, soul and spirit. After Ahab married Jezebel, she destroyed all the altars and forced people to worship Baal. Much as in these current times, where we find persecution to those who worship Lord.

Elijah asked Israelites this question

1 Kings  18:21  And Elijah came unto all the people, and said, How long halt ye between two opinions? if the LORD be God, follow him: but if Baal, then follow him. And the people answered him not a word.

Notice, how he threw a challenge to the people to follow what is right. He challenged Israelites to test the Lord and follow the one who is a true God.

Romans  11:16  For if the firstfruit be holy, the lump is also holy: and if the root be holy, so are the branches.

Lord commanded his people to be Holy as He is Holy, not to be double minded but follow him with all spirit and truth.

Ephesians  5:1  Be ye therefore followers of God, as dear children;

1 Peter  3:13  And who is he that will harm you, if ye be followers of that which is good?

Saints, we are living in end times, Jesus is soon coming to judge the world.

3. How can we know whether we are following as per Lord's will?

Isaiah  48:17  Thus saith the LORD, thy Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel; I am the LORD thy God which teacheth thee to profit, which leadeth thee by the way that thou shouldest go.

Lord is God, He will show you the way you should go, things you should say, works that you should do.

4. What would be the repercussions of not following Lord?

Saints, it is a dangerous thing to fall in the hands of God. If you compromise, follow the world, do as per your will.

Bible says:

Revelation  3:14 And unto the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write; These things saith the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation of God;

Revelation 3:15 I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot.

Revelation 3:16 So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth.

Revelation 3:17 Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked:

Your heart can fall into mischief, if you don't fear the Lord.

Proverbs  28:14  Happy is the man that feareth alway: but he that hardeneth his heart shall fall into mischief.

Saints, Don't harden the heart, today when you hear his voice. Follow what is good, pure and holy. Remember we have a God who is in heaven who will reward your efforts. Your hope will not be in vain.

Hebrews  3:15  While it is said, To day if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts, as in the provocation.

God bless

Anger

Exodus  32:19 And it came to pass, as soon as he came nigh unto the camp, that he saw the calf, and the dancing: and Moses' anger waxed hot, and he cast the tables out of his hands, and brake them beneath the mount.

Praise the Lord!!!

Today we will meditate upon Anger. Bible says

Ephesians  4:26  Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath:

Anger is an emotion which blinds the minds. When we are angry we lose the ability to decide what is right for us.

Why do we get angry?

Genesis  4:5 But unto Cain and to his offering he had not respect. And Cain was very wroth, and his countenance fell.

When we expect something and we don't receive, we get angry on God, people, circumstances.

Bible says when we do right in the sight of God. We will receive all the goodness he has kept for us.

Genesis  4:7 If thou doest well, shalt thou not be accepted? and if thou doest not well, sin lieth at the door. And unto thee shall be his desire, and thou shalt rule over him.

When we get angry we need to introspect ourselves on these key points.

1. Does it displease God (Gen 4:6)
2. Does it harm any human being (Gen 49:6)
3. Does it bring curse to my family ( Gen 49:7)
4. Does it bring strife in the relationship ( Proverb 15:18)
5. Does it blindfolds my discretion, understanding (Proverbs 19:11)

Wait a minute!! Can we have anger which pleases God!!!

Yes, Moses displayed a Holy anger.
Phineas also displayed a Holy anger and prevented Israel from God's Judgement.

Numbers  25:11  Phinehas, the son of Eleazar, the son of Aaron the priest, hath turned my wrath away from the children of Israel, while he was zealous for my sake among them, that I consumed not the children of Israel in my jealousy.

Saints, there are many blessings which we lose because of anger.

Anger brings
1. Division in relationship
2. Invokes wrath of God.
3. Loss of Godly blessings.
4. Sets us up in the path to hell.

Ephesians  4:31  Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice:

Colossians  3:8  But now ye also put off all these; anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy, filthy communication out of your mouth.

Prayer

Father God, I come into your presence and acknowledge the sin of being angry without any cause. Please forgive me and renew my spirit with your peace which surpasses all understanding. In Jesus mighty name. Amen

Changing God's Mind

Exodus  32:14 And the LORD repented of the evil which he thought to do unto his people.

Praise the Lord!!!

Today we will meditate upon changing God's mind. Every time when I read this verse, I am absolutely awed by the prayer which Moses prayed. He prayed so fervently that God changed his mind.

Israel were obnoxious and stiff necked, unwilling to obey God and his commandments. God had saved them from the Egyptians and showed them 10 miracles; still they refused his favour.

Moses stood in between God and Israel and intreated for them. He sought God reminded Him about the promises He made to Abraham and his descendants. Moses could have easily allowed them to die as they were disrespectful to God.

Saints! Whom does God seek?

Lord is seeking for people who can stand between his people intreating for them.

Ezekiel  3:17  Son of man, I have made thee a watchman unto the house of Israel: therefore hear the word at my mouth, and give them warning from me.

What is the will of God?

It is God's will that none of those who rebel against him should perish.

2 Peter  3:9  The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.

How can we change the mind of God?

1. Praying fervently for his people (James 5:16)
2. Having the mindset of God ( 1 Sam 2:35)
3. Leading a Holy life (Roman 12:1)

Saints!! World needs prayer warriors, Christian who can stand against Satan, Prayer warriors who can commit their lives to God, Brothers and Sisters in Christ who can intreat for his people and tell God that they are available for Him.

Isaiah  6:8  Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, Whom shall I send, and who will go for us? Then said I, Here am I; send me.

Are you here to tell Lord? Send me Lord use me for your service.

God bless

Stiff-necked People

Exodus  32:9 And the LORD said unto Moses, I have seen this people, and, behold, it is a stiffnecked people:

Praise the Lord!!

Today we will meditate upon an important issue amongst the Israelites.

Stiff necked meaning

A stiff-necked people — Untractable, wilful, and stubborn; unapt to come under the yoke of the divine law, averse from all good, and prone to all evil, incorrigible by judgments, and obstinate to all the methods of cure.

Who are stiff necked people?

Stiff necked people
1. Stubborn to any change for good.
2. Revolt to any commandments from the Lord.
4. Do the same sin / mistake repeatedly.
5. Ungrateful to the favour from God.
6. Selfish
7. Manipulative in nature.

What is the reward for being stiff necked?

Galatians  5:21 Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.

1. They will lose the inheritance of the Lord.
2. They will thrown to the eternal fire.
3. They will invite the wrath of God.

Saints, we are living in end times and if we harden our hearts and don't repent of our mistakes. We will not receive the eternal life from the Lord.

Hebrews  3:15  While it is said, To day if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts, as in the provocation.

Yes!! Saints don't harden your heart to provocation. If you have committed anything evil or spoken a word against your brother or sister or friend. Seek forgiveness from the Lord and reconcile before the judgement.

James  5:9  Grudge not one against another, brethren, lest ye be condemned: behold, the judge standeth before the door.

Delay in Coming

Exodus  32:1  And when the people saw that Moses delayed to come down out of the mount, the people gathered themselves together unto Aaron, and said unto him, Up, make us gods, which shall go before us; for as for this Moses, the man that brought us up out of the land of Egypt, we wot not what is become of him.

Praise the Lord!!

Today we will meditate upon delay in Lord's coming. This scripture from the old testament showed the careless and indifferent attitude of the Israelites.

When Moses delayed in coming down. The Israelites showed these traits.

1. They were disrespectful to the minister of God.
2. They rejected God.
3. They made false Gods.
4. They agreed to follow their own counsel.
5. They forgot the favours and blessings which Lord gave them.

Jesus also talked about a servant who was complacent when his master delayed in coming.

Matthew  24:48  But and if that evil servant shall say in his heart, My lord delayeth his coming;

Luke  12:45  But and if that servant say in his heart, My lord delayeth his coming; and shall begin to beat the menservants and maidens, and to eat and drink, and to be drunken;

Saints, the end is near and Lord is delaying his coming so that all of them can be saved.

2 Peter  3:9  The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.

What should we do during this period when Lord delays his coming?

1. Watch and pray.
2. Endure the suffering without complaining knowing that we have a Lord who will stand for us.
3. Hold fast to faith and share the good news to all.

2 Timothy  4:5  But watch thou in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, make full proof of thy ministry.

Revelation  3:3  Remember therefore how thou hast received and heard, and hold fast, and repent. If therefore thou shalt not watch, I will come on thee as a thief, and thou shalt not know what hour I will come upon thee.

Sabbath

Exodus  31:14 Ye shall keep the sabbath therefore; for it is holy unto you: every one that defileth it shall surely be put to death: for whosoever doeth any work therein, that soul shall be cut off from among his people.

Praise the Lord!!!

Today we will meditate upon Sabbath. Probably the most misunderstood word and day in the entire bible. Sabbath is the most intriguing day, which has led many Pharisees to stumble.

The origin of Sabbath was in Genesis when Lord finished creating the heavens and the earth. He hallowed the day when he rested. He commanded that people should keep the Sabbath the day of Lord's rest as Holy and not to profane it.

But I often wondered why was Sabbath so important? Yes!! We agree that Lord rested on that day and commanded to keep it holy.

Sabbath has many deep meaning, today as you read this let the Holy Spirit guide you into the truth.

To many Sabbath means

a day of religious observance and abstinence from work, kept by Jews from Friday evening to Saturday evening, and by most Christians on Sunday.

But spiritually Sabbath means
1. A Day when you will rest in the Lord.
2. A Day when you will minister to Him.
3. A Day when you seek his face and thank him for all his goodness and faithfulness.
4. A Day when you will afflict your souls and mend your ways.
5. A Day when you will seek his guidance for the next week.
6. A Day when you will magnify his works.
7. A Day when you will expect a miracle.

Lord Jesus showed the people what was the real meaning of Sabbath. Untill then people followed a tradition without understanding the deep meaning of the Holy day.

We need to magnify, praise the works of God, restore the fellowship and rest on him.

Luke  13:14  And the ruler of the synagogue answered with indignation, because that Jesus had healed on the sabbath day, and said unto the people, There are six days in which men ought to work: in them therefore come and be healed, and not on the sabbath day.

Notice how ignorant the leaders were who would stop Lord Jesus from performing miracle due to Sabbath.

Sabbath was ordained so that people would rejoice in the Lord and remind themselves about the goodness which God gave.

Hebrews  4:4  For he spake in a certain place of the seventh day on this wise, And God did rest the seventh day from all his works.

Hebrews  4:5  And in this place again, If they shall enter into my rest.

Yes saints today when we you hear these words don't harden your heart. Rejoice in the Lord cast all your care upon for he cares for you.

Holy Anointing Oil

Exodus  30:31 And thou shalt speak unto the children of Israel, saying, This shall be an holy anointing oil unto me throughout your generations.

Praise the Lord!!!

Today we will meditate upon Holy Anointing Oil. In the old testament we find that the priest were anointed with Holy Oil. Not only priest but everything that was inside the tabernacle was anointed by the Holy Oil. Holy oil was prepared with specific spices and in a specific composition so that nobody can duplicate that oil.

In the new testament we find the similitude of Holy Oil as Holy Spirit.

Why do we need this Oil?

Notice if you want to stay in the ministry or do the ministry Holy oil is required.

Isaiah  11:2 And the spirit of the LORD shall rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the LORD;

Holy Spirit as a person has following attributes
1. Spirit of Wisdom
2. Spirit of Understanding
3. Spirit of counsel
4. Spirit of Might
5. Spirit of knowledge
6. Spirit of fear of Lord.
7. Spirit of Lord

Saints, many times we want to touch people do the ministry for the Lord. but we don't give adequate importance to the third person of the trinity.

Without Holy Spirit we cannot do any service for the Lord as he will search what is their in people's hearts and guide you and counsel you.

1 Corinthians  2:10  But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God.

Today we have youth who hunger for the Lord however they lack the power. You need to seek the anointing of the Holy Spirit if you want to break the bonds of Satan. If Jesus had to wait for the Holy Spirit imagine how much more we need to wait for him.

Isaiah  40:31  But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.

You need to wait and ask for his Anointing in order to serve the Lord. Many times I have observed people are so enthusiastic in the beginning and enter into 40 days fasting without the guidance from the Holy Spirit and get into spiritual and physical troubles.

Saints, when we wait and ask for the anointing we are sealed in the Holy Spirit.

Revelation  7:3  Saying, Hurt not the earth, neither the sea, nor the trees, till we have sealed the servants of our God in their foreheads.

Atonement

Exodus  30:10  And Aaron shall make an atonement upon the horns of it once in a year with the blood of the sin offering of atonements: once in the year shall he make atonement upon it throughout your generations: it is most holy unto the LORD.

Praise the Lord!!!

Today we will meditate upon atonement.
What is atonement?
Why is it necessary?
What you need to do to get the atonement?

What is an atonement?
Dictionary states that Atonement is the action of making amends for a wrong or injury.

We live in a world where everyone involuntary says Sorry whether they mean that or not.

Mother Teresa once said. Never say sorry. Instead say what can I do to make it right for you.

That is a powerful statement!!

How can you make it right for the one whom you have done wrong?

What can you bring or do so that he forgets all the mistakes you have done?

Why is Atonement necessary?

When we sin against God we lose the fellowship with him. He calls us again to amend but we become so self-centred that we don't listen to the small still voice.

Job was a man of God, upright and righteous, but still when he faced troubles in his life he remembered his sins and iniquities.

Job  13:23  How many are mine iniquities and sins? make me to know my transgression and my sin.

King David prayed to God always to keep him from sinning.

Psalms  19:13  Keep back thy servant also from presumptuous sins; let them not have dominion over me: then shall I be upright, and I shall be innocent from the great transgression.

But if you have done any sin or mistake is there any atonement? Where should we go?
Whom should we meet?
What should we do?

That is the good news we have a Lord who has made the atonement. If you come to Jesus and repent of your sins and accept him as your Lord and saviour. Lord accepts you as his son and daughter and you don't need to fear for all the mistakes that you have done in the past.

Isaiah  1:18  Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.

Romans  5:11  And not only so, but we also joy in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom we have now received the atonement.

All things are new, you are a new creation. Is this only for new believers.

No!! We need to repent for our sins every day.

Every time we should come to him and restore the fellowship. All the grudges, frustration, bitterness against the Lord will never give you the desired blessings.

Revelation  22:12 And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be.

Revelation 22:20 He which testifieth these things saith, Surely I come quickly. Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus.

O Altar, Altar!!

Exodus  30:1  And thou shalt make an altar to burn incense upon: of shittim wood shalt thou make it

Praise the Lord!!

Today we will meditate upon the incense. The most important part of the tabernacle. Its importance is shown in God's jealousy that Israel offered strange incense to other gods.

What is an incense?

Psalms  22:3  But thou art holy, O thou that inhabitest the praises of Israel.

Incense in the old testament were sweet smelling substance which was offered after the lamps were lit by the chief priest.

Today incense are prayers and praise that you offer to the Lord. Lord dwells in the praise of his people.

Exodus  30:7  And Aaron shall burn thereon sweet incense every morning: when he dresseth the lamps, he shall burn incense upon it.

Every Morning as we offer praise and pray to our Lord Jesus. He comes in midst of us and sanctions our petitions.

Psalms  92:2  To shew forth thy lovingkindness in the morning, and thy faithfulness every night,

Every morning we must remember the blessings and remind him the favour that he did to us.

Lord is particularly concerned when his children offer strange incense.

What is a strange incense

Exodus  30:9  Ye shall offer no strange incense thereon, nor burnt sacrifice, nor meat offering; neither shall ye pour drink offering thereon.

Isaiah  1:13  Bring no more vain oblations; incense is an abomination unto me; the new moons and sabbaths, the calling of assemblies, I cannot away with; it is iniquity, even the solemn meeting.

Strange incense are:

1. Prayers which are not directed to Jesus.
2. Prayers which are self centered.
3. Prayers which seek harm to others.

King David understood the importance of incense and so he write such.

Psalms  141:2  Let my prayer be set forth before thee as incense; and the lifting up of my hands as the evening sacrifice.

Notice how in Malachi wanted all should offer prayers to him and him alone.

Malachi  1:11  For from the rising of the sun even unto the going down of the same my name shall be great among the Gentiles; and in every place incense shall be offered unto my name, and a pure offering: for my name shall be great among the heathen, saith the LORD of hosts.

Revelation  8:4  And the smoke of the incense, which came with the prayers of the saints, ascended up before God out of the angel's hand.

Saints, we are living in end times, Lord Jesus will soon come to judge this world.

Pray so that you may not fall into temptation.

Royal Priesthood

Exodus  29:1 And this is the thing that thou shalt do unto them to hallow them, to minister unto me in the priest's office: Take one young bullock, and two rams without blemish,

Praise the Lord!!

Today we will meditate upon the office of Aaron and his sons. In Old testament Aaron was chosen upon Moses to minister to the Lord.

I often wondered why Moses was not chosen as a Priest after all they were both Levite.

Aaron was among the people while Moses was in exile. He could connect to their sufferings more than Moses.

Hebrews  4:15  For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin.

Aaron was a similitude of Jesus. The office was for him and his sons. Similarly, When we partake in the communion we are his flesh and blood.

It is interesting that the way Aaron was ordained as a Priest showed much similitude in which we are being ordained into royal priesthood.

1 Peter  2:9  But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light:

Aaron was ordained through the following items.

Bullock - Sin Offering
Ram -  burnt offering
Unleavened bread
Oil
Ephod
Breastplate

Though we don't use these item now we have a similitude of these which makes us a royal priesthood.

Offering of bullock and ram ( Jesus)
Unleavened bread ( Jesus)
Oil ( Holy Spirit)
Ephod ( Garment of Praise)
Breastplate ( Righteousness)

Saints, we are royal priesthood, special people, we are in the lineage of King.

So today shed off the dust of depression, guilt, sins, hurt and let's turn our attention to the saviour who has set us in the high pedestal, where our petitions are answered by the King himself.

Today onwards let your walk, talk, life be like prince and princess. You are chosen generation. Let noone tell you otherwise.

Pure oil

Exodus  27:20  And thou shalt command the children of Israel, that they bring thee pure oil olive beaten for the light, to cause the lamp to burn always.

Praise the Lord!!

Today we will meditate upon oil used for the service. Lord commanded that Israelites should bring oil which are beaten, pure, used for lighting the lamps forever.

Oil is similitude to your anointing, when you come to serve the Lord. Come in your Anointing which will break all the bonds and set you in liberty.

In new testament Jesus gave us a parable of 10 virgins. 5 of them were wise and 5 of them were foolish.

Matthew  25:3  They that were foolish took their lamps, and took no oil with them:

Matthew  25:4  But the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps.

Let's understand what is this oil and why is this so important in the service to the Lord.

Psalms  45:7  Thou lovest righteousness, and hatest wickedness: therefore God, thy God, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows.

Psalmist says He anoints his people with oil of gladness above all. Those who follow him will be in gladness all the time. They will rejoice in the Lord. They will never be troubled or whining for every trouble that comes their way.

Psalms  104:15  And wine that maketh glad the heart of man, and oil to make his face to shine, and bread which strengtheneth man's heart.

This oil is to make your face shine in midst of all your troubles. The Anointing will give a shine on your face, Moses when he went to see the Lord on the mount. His face shone so that nobody could look at him.

Isaiah  61:3  To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the LORD, that he might be glorified.

Saints let's enter into the house of the Lord with Thanksgiving in our heart and rejoicing knowing that he will always guide us, protect us and lead us to everlasting life.

Horns of the Altar

Exodus  27:2  And thou shalt make the horns of it upon the four corners thereof: his horns shall be of the same: and thou shalt overlay it with brass.

Praise the Lord!!

Today we will meditate upon horns of the altar. What is the significance of the horns of the altar. In old testament whenever anyone would sin and wanted forgiveness from his sins. He would catch hold of the horns so that his sins will be forgiven.

How were sins forgiven by merely holding the horns?

Exodus  29:12  And thou shalt take of the blood of the bullock, and put it upon the horns of the altar with thy finger, and pour all the blood beside the bottom of the altar.

The blood of the bullock would be upon the altar due to which when the person holds the horns Lord would see the blood and forgive the sins.

Blood was shed to reconcile with God (Leviticus  8:15), and sanctify the person involved in sin. (Leviticus  9:9)  these ritual would be done by Aaron and his sons who were symbolic to Jesus. Blood is also used as an atonement (Leviticus  16:18).

Psalmist says :

2 Samuel  22:3  The God of my rock; in him will I trust: he is my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my high tower, and my refuge, my saviour; thou savest me from violence.

Yes!! It is the horn of your salvation, refuge, your high tower.

In old testament we found two person who seek forgiveness by holding the horns.

1 Kings  1:50  And Adonijah feared because of Solomon, and arose, and went, and caught hold on the horns of the altar.

1 Kings  2:28  Then tidings came to Joab: for Joab had turned after Adonijah, though he turned not after Absalom. And Joab fled unto the tabernacle of the LORD, and caught hold on the horns of the altar.

In the similar way Jesus died for all so that we can seek forgiveness for all the sins. Now we don't need blood of animals for sacrifice. We have a saviour who has made an ultimate sacrifice by dying on the cross. And third day he rose again.

Have you ever wondered what is the similitude of horn in the new testament.

Revelation  2:18  And unto the angel of the church in Thyatira write; These things saith the Son of God, who hath his eyes like unto a flame of fire, and his feet are like fine brass;

Yes, horns today signify the feet of Jesus. When we catch hold of his feet and when the blood which he has shed for you will run over your hands. Lord will forget all the sins and mistakes you have ever committed. Because Lord said in Isaiah.

Isaiah  1:18  Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.

Saints, let's come to his presence and reconcile. Our saviour is standing waiting for his children to come.

Psalms  18:2  The LORD is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my buckler, and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower.

He is the horn of your salvation and your high tower today if you surrender your heart to Jesus. You and your family will be saved.

God bless
