Standing in between

Numbers  16:48 And he stood between the dead and the living; and the plague was stayed.

Praise the Lord!

Today we will meditate upon intercessory for people.

Isaiah  21:6 For thus hath the LORD said unto me, Go, set a watchman, let him declare what he seeth.

Isaiah  21:8  And he cried, A lion: My lord, I stand continually upon the watchtower in the daytime, and I am set in my ward whole nights:   Jeremiah  7:2  Stand in the gate of the LORD's house, and proclaim there this word, and say, Hear the word of the LORD, all ye of Judah, that enter in at these gates to worship the LORD.   2 Timothy  2:19  Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, Let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity.

Contentment in small things

Numbers  16:9 Seemeth it but a small thing unto you, that the God of Israel hath separated you from the congregation of Israel, to bring you near to himself to do the service of the tabernacle of the LORD, and to stand before the congregation to minister unto them?

Praise the Lord!

Today we will meditate upon an contentment in small things.

In the above verse we find the sons of Korah were quarrelling with Moses because they seeked the priesthood which was given to Aaron.

There are some things in christian life we have to learn and it is being contented in all circumstances.

Philippians  4:11  Not that I speak in respect of want: for I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content.

Bible Says.

God is our provider and he knows exactly what you need and provides you. Hence being hasty and seeking the things which you have not received and complaining about it will not please God.

Hebrews  13:5  Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.

1 Timothy  6:6  But godliness with contentment is great gain.

1 Timothy  6:8  And having food and raiment let us be therewith content.

Why do we need to be contented?

Contentment shows that

1. You trust your Lord that he will make sure all the needs are met.(Jeremiah 29:11)

2. Your purpose will be fulfilled in accordance to God's plan.

3. You will have a peace which will surpass all understanding.

John  14:27 Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.

So no matter what ministry or work, no matter how menial the work seem. Still be cheerful and do the work with all your heart, soul and strength.

For if you are faithful in small things. Lord will promote you for your higher calling.

Luke  19:17  And he said unto him, Well, thou good servant: because thou hast been faithful in a very little, have thou authority over ten cities.

Yes! Saints there is a reward waiting for us. Not the reward which the world gives. But the King of Kings and the Lord of Lord will reward those who are content and faithful in all that they do.

God bless

Watch! What you speak

Numbers  14:2 And all the children of Israel murmured against Moses and against Aaron: and the whole congregation said unto them, Would God that we had died in the land of Egypt! or would God we had died in this wilderness!

Praise the Lord!

Today we will meditate upon words which come out of our mouth.

Bible says:

Proverbs  4:5  Get wisdom, get understanding: forget it not; neither decline from the words of my mouth.

Your words decide what you would like your destiny to be.

Bible says
Proverbs  10:19  In the multitude of words there wanteth not sin: but he that refraineth his lips is wise.

Here we find Israelites were so hardhearted and disbelieving that they refused the good report from the Lord.

Watch! What they asked in that verse.

1. They hoped that they had been dead in Egypt.
2. They hoped that they had been dead in Wilderness.

God answered their prayers.

Not one of them entered into the promised Land.

Proverbs  17:27  He that hath knowledge spareth his words: and a man of understanding is of an excellent spirit.

Saints, we understand that we need to do three things if we need to please God and enable him to fulfill his plan on us.

1. Seek wisdom.
2. Seek understanding.
3. Seek Holy Spirit.

Use your words sparingly. Many times we fail not because of Satan, but we allow him to use us against God.

James  3:6  And the tongue is a fire, a world of iniquity: so is the tongue among our members, that it defileth the whole body, and setteth on fire the course of nature; and it is set on fire of hell.

Here the verse says, your body is defiled by what you utter from your mouth.

Today! Ask God for wisdom and understanding to speak to people who hurt you, who revile you, who curse you.

God bless
