Remember me O Lord!!

Job  10:9  Remember, I beseech thee, that thou hast made me as the clay; and wilt thou bring me into dust again?

Praise the Lord!

It is difficult to imagine How many times we would have pleaded God to remember us and sometimes we feel that we are forgotten.

Today we will meditate on things which God remembers.

1. God remembers you in your adverse situation.

Genesis  8:1  And God remembered Noah, and every living thing, and all the cattle that was with him in the ark: and God made a wind to pass over the earth, and the waters asswaged;

It took Noah 120 years to build the ark and throughout the time when he was building the bark, he was spreading the gospel to people around him that they need to be saved. But nobody listened and thought that he was a mad man. Bible says that Noah's flood stayed for 150 days. And all the living except the people who were in the ark died.

No matter how adverse your circumstances are, he remembers you in that situation and will keep you safe.

2. God remembers you in your need.

Genesis  30:22  And God remembered Rachel, and God hearkened to her, and opened her womb.

Rachel was most favored and loved amongst Jacob wives. But she was barren and because of that she was bitter and would constantly plead to God for a child.

Sometimes you may face a situation where you need something very urgently but it may get delayed. A job, promotion, healing, a restoration of marriage but when it is delayed you become bitter, but God remembers your situation and will give you a deliverance in his due time.

3. God remembers His covenant

Exodus  2:24  And God heard their groaning, and God remembered his covenant with Abraham, with Isaac, and with Jacob.

Israel had backslided and forgot God and his law. They were in bondage and wanted help. They were groaning in pain. Because of their hard task manager.
Are you also groaning due to pain in job, business, life? Do you feel that there is no way? Do you feel left out, alone?

God remembers you!

He will deliver you from the snare of the Fowler, he will deliver your soul.

Saints, today when you hear these words don't feel defeated and dejected. We have a God who will deliver us from our troubles.

What should we do in this situation?

Joshua  1:7 Only be thou strong and very courageous, that thou mayest observe to do according to all the law, which Moses my servant commanded thee: turn not from it to the right hand or to the left, that thou mayest prosper whithersoever thou goest.

Joshua 1:8 This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.

1. Be courageous and don't fear.
2. Have faith in his loving kindness.
3. Read the Bible every day.

You are blessed in the Lord

2 Chronicles 9:7 Happy are thy men, and happy are these thy servants, which stand continually before thee, and hear thy wisdom.

Praise the Lord!

Today we will meditate upon happiness in the Lord. You are called blessed.

Queen Sheeba out of joy said these words. She was elated that a kingdom can be ruled with such splendor and grandeur where the servants were treated like princes.

She termed these people as happy or Blessed because they were constantly looked after by their king.

How can we term ourselves as blessed people.

1. Blessed are those whom God Corrects

Job  5:17  Behold, happy is the man whom God correcteth: therefore despise not thou the chastening of the Almighty:

We are blessed because we have a God who corrects us when we go astray. Saints when you face trials and tribulation don't think that you are forgotten. We have a God who was tempted in all temptations and was victorious.

2. Blessed are those who eat the labour of his hands

Psalms  128:2  For thou shalt eat the labour of thine hands: happy shalt thou be, and it shall be well with thee.

Sometimes we feel defeated and dejected when we see our colleagues who do all mischief and wicked thing and get promoted in life. Be of good cheer you have a God who knows your efforts and will give you rewards for the fruits you bear.

3. Blessed is he whom God is Lord.

Psalms  144:15  Happy is that people, that is in such a case: yea, happy is that people, whose God is the LORD.

We always find people who trust in rich people, prominent person, sometimes they trust their riches. But blessed are you when you trust the Lord. He is your shield and strength. And the one who has the God of Jacob as his help who can stand up against him.

4. Blessed are those who has mercy on poor.

Proverbs  14:21  He that despiseth his neighbour sinneth: but he that hath mercy on the poor, happy is he.

When you lend to poor you lend to Lord and he will return sevenfold back to you. So give cheerfully and without grudging.

5. Blessed are those who keep the law.

Proverbs  29:18  Where there is no vision, the people perish: but he that keepeth the law, happy is he.

When you keep the law or Lord's commandments you are doing things which are pleasing to God. He will be your guide and give you directions to walk in his path.

6. Blessed are those who endure.

James  5:11  Behold, we count them happy which endure. Ye have heard of the patience of Job, and have seen the end of the Lord; that the Lord is very pitiful, and of tender mercy.

Saints when we face trials and tribulation we have to show patience and faith knowing that God is faithful. He has not forgotten you. You are the Apple of his eye. If you suffered for righteousness sake you are termed as blessed. ( 1 Peter 3:14). If you are reproached in the name of Christ, be joyful as your name is written in heaven. ( 1Peter 4:14)

7. Blessed is he who considers and humbles himself as Servant as Christ humbled himself.

John  13:16 Verily, verily, I say unto you, The servant is not greater than his lord; neither he that is sent greater than he that sent him.

Saints, we have a Lord who is our Father and creator of all being. It is a privilege to call ourselves as servants of most high God.  When you know who you are you will call yourself as Blessed.

Saints, today when you hear these words know that God is careful and mindful about you. You need not worry about anything.

John  15:9 As the Father hath loved me, so have I loved you: continue ye in my love.

John 15:10 If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father's commandments, and abide in his love.

Let's abide in the love of Christ and give him the fruits of salvation.

A Pathfinder in your troubles

Psalms 119:105 Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.

Praise the Lord!!

Today we will meditate upon the word of the Lord. When I read this verse I am reminded that this word is a Pathfinder.

A Pathfinder is a person who goes ahead and discovers or shows others a path or way.

But wait a minute! But here it says your word is a lamp to my feet, and light to my path.

How can a word be a Pathfinder?

You will get that answer in John 1:1

John  1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

So if the word is a person, it has emotions, senses, it can be hurt. Yes in Proverbs it is written.

Proverbs  13:13  Whoso despiseth the word shall be destroyed: but he that feareth the commandment shall be rewarded.

So how can we ensure that word can be a Pathfinder for you.

How to please Him who sends the word, who is the word and creator of the word.

1. By keeping the word in the heart always.

2. By not forgetting his law.

3. By hating vain thoughts.

4. By keeping the commandments of the Lord.

5. By seeking for understanding so that you may know more about his testimonies.

6. By hating every false ways

7. By loving his statutes.

Saints, everyone wants a Pathfinder for his life. We seek in vain areas and people for wisdom. But it is freely given by our Lord and savior Jesus Christ.

James  1:5 If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.

Wisdom is a principal thing if you have all the riches but no wisdom, it will be futile as you will not be able to manage those riches.

Today if you are feeling lonely, depressed, and want a friend who will show you the way. Jesus said

John  15:13  Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.

Yes saints, he laid down his life for us. Even though we were sinners Christ became a curse for us. So now we are no longer alone, but we are the heirs of his kingdom.

John  15:14  Ye are my friends, if ye do whatsoever I command you.

Yes saints, today if you would like to be his friend you will listen to his voice. As I am writing I can feel the presence of the Holy Spirit, the greatest comforter.

John  15:15  Henceforth I call you not servants; for the servant knoweth not what his lord doeth: but I have called you friends; for all things that I have heard of my Father I have made known unto you.

Come let's surrender ourselves, and repent for our sins he is ready to forgive all your mistakes, faults. He is ready right to accept you as a child of God.

If you are willing to surrender and become a child of God. Say this simple prayer.

Salvation Prayer

God, I recognize that I have not lived my life for You up until now. I have been living for myself and that is wrong. I need You in my life; I want You in my life. I acknowledge the completed work of Your Son Jesus Christ in giving His life for me on the cross at Calvary, and I long to receive the forgiveness you have made freely available to me through this sacrifice. Come into my life now, Lord. Take up residence in my heart and be my king, my Lord, and my Savior. From this day forward, I will no longer be controlled by sin, or the desire to please myself, but I will follow You all the days of my life. Those days are in Your hands. I ask this in Jesus' precious and holy name. Amen."

Bottle in the smoke

Psalms 119:83 For I am become like a bottle in the smoke; yet do I not forget thy statutes.

Praise the Lord!!

Today we will meditate upon the verse where the psalmist David gives us the intensity of his trouble, by comparing himself with a bottle in the smoke.

David's life was filled with test and trials he was constantly tested from one task to another. But he was victorious in all his task.

He recounts his life journey through the Psalms where he tells us how he was victorious in his battles.

If we follow the instructions given by King David, we can be sure that we will emerge victorious in our ordeals.

Bottle in a smoke in eastern countries are bottles which are kept right above the fireplace and the end result is that the sooth would cover the bottle so much that the whole bottle would appear pitch dark.

David was telling in his Psalms that his life was pitch dark as his enemies were always looking for his life. He had troubles in the house and outside his house. He had no place to hide, his life was in constant fear, but still he gives some of the best advice which we need to follow if we face the life in our darkest hour.

How to emerge victorious in the midst of trouble?

1. Hope in God's word

2. Thirst for his counsel.

3. Don't forget his statutes.

4. Don't forsake his percepts.

5. Always remember his faithfulness.

6. Refrain your feet from every evil.

7. Daily meditate on his word, read the Bible everyday

Saints, if you do these what will be your benefit by following the instructions.

1. Lord will quicken you in his loving kindness.

2.  Lord will make you wiser than your enemies.

3.  Lord will give you more understanding than your teachers.

4.  Lord will make you more knowledgeable so that nobody can trick you in his trap.

5. Lord will show you the right way so that you will discern and understand every false way.

Saints, Are you feeling your life is going nowhere, you don't have anybody to understand you. You are seeking like David for a counselor and feel like your life is a Bottle in the Smoke.

Take courage!! Lord Commanded Joshua to be strong and very courageous ( Joshua 1: 6-9). Today if Holy Spirit is speaking to you don't harden your hearts and surrender your life to Jesus. He will bring all things to pass.

In times of Affliction

Psalms 119:50 This is my comfort in my affliction: for thy word hath quickened me.

Praise the Lord!

Today we will meditate upon a burning question "What must a person do in the times of affliction, trouble, trial?"

When affliction hits you

1. You seek motivation from people.

2. You seek comfort from motivational speakers.

3. You seek someone who would advice you what needs to be done.

King David was also afflicted and have given some tips on what we need to do when we face trials.

1. Remember the vision, word, prophecy which God spoke to you when you were new in Christ.

2. Remember the deliverance how Lord delivered those who were afflicted and were given respite from the trouble.

3. Remember his statute, law and constantly meditate upon his word.

4. Keep his words in your heart so that you don't sin when you are troubled.

5. Follow his law with all your heart.

6. Perceive that He will never leave you orphans.

7.  Remember his judgement in the Bible, how he judged the wicked.

Saints, Jesus said :

Matthew  11:28  Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.

Today when you are afflicted and wonder who would listen to me, come to Jesus he will give you his peace which will surpass all understanding.

John  14:27  Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.

John  16:33  These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.

God Bless.
