Coupled for His Service

Exodus  26:24 And they shall be coupled together beneath, and they shall be coupled together above the head of it unto one ring: thus shall it be for them both; they shall be for the two corners.

Praise the Lord!!!

Today we will meditate about importance of prayer partner. In old testament we find Lord would specifically tell Moses to couple the board together with one ring of gold. But before that you need to overlay the board with gold.

There is lot of spiritual meaning in building a tabernacle. Let's understand what is the significance of coupling the board.

Church Builder
Shittim Board were used for building the tabernacle. They were the foundation of church. Notice how they were not placed haphazardly. They are overlaid with gold. Similarly saints you are the building blocks of church. You need to partner with your fellow workers in prayer and church building. As the board was overlaid with gold which hides the shortcomings and mistakes of fellow workers. Similarly you need to be in one mind and love your brother or your sister and partner in Christ.

Prayer Partner
Mark  6:7  And he called unto him the twelve, and began to send them forth by two and two; and gave them power over unclean spirits;

Jesus also used the same method in his ministry. Today we find people when they share the gospel to the  masses, they go in groups. But Jesus understood the principal of church building and sent the disciples in two. They worked wonders and came back and gave the report.

Helper
Ecclesiastes  4:10  For if they fall, the one will lift up his fellow: but woe to him that is alone when he falleth; for he hath not another to help him up.

The importance of fellowship with your brother or sister is not confined only to prayer. But whenever you find your brother or your sister in need of help. You need to partake in that duty.

James  2:15 If a brother or sister be naked, and destitute of daily food,

James 2:16 And one of you say unto them, Depart in peace, be ye warmed and filled; notwithstanding ye give them not those things which are needful to the body; what doth it profit?
James 2:17 Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone.

Saints henceforth let's be doers of the word as it is written.

James  1:22 But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.

Prayer

Father I pray that you forgive my sin of not fellowshipping with my brother and sister in Christ. I come into your presence. Holy Spirit guide my steps and create in me a heart which is pleasing to my Lord Jesus Christ. Amen

God bless

God of Order

Exodus  26:17  Two tenons shall there be in one board, set in order one against another: thus shalt thou make for all the boards of the tabernacle.

Praise the Lord!!!

Today we will meditate upon setting the things in order. God is God of order, he never works haphazardly, confused, without direction. He knows what is to be done, what he is doing. There are 4 references in Exodus where God tells them to set the things in order.
1. Board of the tabernacle.
2. Candlestick.
3. Table of Shewbread.
4. Shew bread.

Why does God wants us to set the things in order? God wants us to understand that setting things in order shows.
1. Mental preparedness.
2. Expectancy of Good things.
3. Knowledge of the Giver.

Psalms  20:5  We will rejoice in thy salvation, and in the name of our God we will set up our banners: the LORD fulfil all thy petitions.

1 John  5:15  And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him.

When we enter into the house of the Lord, we must remember that we are entering into the house of the creator of the whole heaven and earth and accordingly our thoughts and request must be big. We must never ask for petty things because that will be fulfilled anyways.

Petition means : a formal written request, typically one signed by many people, appealing to authority in respect of a particular cause.

Notice, when you accept him as a saviour and Lord, he will make you his son and daughter so you are no longer normal but prince and princess. Enemy will always show your circumstances and try to deviate your mind into poverty. But if you have the mindset of Christ, you will have the confidence that he will answer anything you ask him today.

John  14:13  And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.

John  14:14  If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it.

Saints, when you ask from the Lord you must remember 3 things.
1. Have faith that he will listen to your petitions.
2. Know that only he can give you your desires of heart in accordance to his will.
3. Be prepared to expect big things from Lord.

Saints when you follow Jesus, you are part of his family, hier to his inheritance. So you can come boldly and ask for all the needs.

Beaten to Perfection

Exodus  25:31  And thou shalt make a candlestick of pure gold: of beaten work shall the candlestick be made: his shaft, and his branches, his bowls, his knops, and his flowers, shall be of the same.

Praise the Lord!!

Today we will meditate upon beaten work. It always surprises me why the Lord should make the candle out of beaten work. Why was it not moulded.

D Macmillan commentary says :
The workman who fashioned it must have pondered minutely over every part, and bestowed immense labour and skill upon all its details; the pattern and symmetry of the whole must have been clearly in his mind, while from one mass of metal he beat out each shaft and floral ornament

Notice how he mention that the workman who fashioned it have the image in the mind and was beating the gold to perfection. If that candlestick had a voice it would have told the workman that it is very painful and he cannot endure it. But the workman would not listen and would beat it till he makes it a masterpiece.

Similarly saints when you are tossed and turned in furnace of affliction and wonder why I am going through all the pain. Remember the workman is working on you for perfection. Just keep the faith, do what you have been doing and eventually Lord will lift you up.

When a workman beats the candle

1. He has a plan for that candlestick.
2. He has fashioned the outcome in his mind.
3. He is not troubled if candlestick won't agree with him. As eventually he will not leave till he has perfected it.
4. He is patient on that candlestick and will not stop till he makes it a masterpiece, useful for the Lord.

Like wise Holy Spirit is working on you.

1. He has a plan ( Jeremiah 29:11)
2. He will never leave you till you are perfected.(Hebrew 13:5).
3. He knows the outcome of your affliction.

Saints today when you are feeling dejected and low and wonder when will this problem end? I am here to encourage you to keep the faith. Lord will never allow anything more than we cannot bear.

Weeping will be for a night, but your righteousness will shine like a morning star.

Jeremiah  31:13  Then shall the virgin rejoice in the dance, both young men and old together: for I will turn their mourning into joy, and will comfort them, and make them rejoice from their sorrow.

Overlaid with Glory

Exodus  25:13 And thou shalt make staves of shittim wood, and overlay them with gold.

Praise the Lord!!

Today we will meditate upon this wood called Shittim. When I was meditating this verse struck my attention. I wondered why did God choose this wood to make a esteemed peice of work. Ark of the covenant, they could have used lots of other woods. As they were traveling. God could have commanded to collect the choicest wood to make the Ark.

Let's understand this wood.
1. Shittim wood grows in desert.
2. Thorny in nature.
3. Always tossed by wind.
4. Hard to get the right size for cutting.
5. Rough and unfinished.
6. Dark in colour, not appealling.
7. Not good for making furniture.

What a wonderful God we have!! The wood which is rejected, tossed, unappealing, of no good to anyone. God chooses that wood overlays with gold and makes it a prestigious wood of that time. I might sometimes wonder when the wood would speak to themselves, they would have chided upon Shittim saying we adorn the furniture of rich and famous and you are good for nothing.

No!! God has a plan for each one of you. O precious saints when you are tossed and broken down, when you feel that there is no way. God says I am the way, truth and life.

Isaiah  43:18 Remember ye not the former things, neither consider the things of old.

Isaiah 43:19 Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.

Notice God chose a wood which is tossed by wind, how specific he is choosing a vessel for his Glory.
He overlays with gold so that all the unappealing colour is hidden. Likewise when you come to Jesus, he overlays you with his glory all the pain, bitterness, ugliness, torment are covered in his glory.

Saints come to him today, don't harden your heart. Give your heart to him he will surely make a way for you.

Sanctuary of the Lord

Exodus  25:8 And let them make me a sanctuary; that I may dwell among them.

Praise the Lord!!

Today we will meditate upon Lord's sanctuary. It was always Lord's wish that he dwell amoung the people.

We can find that in Genesis 3:9

Genesis  3:9  And the LORD God called unto Adam, and said unto him, Where art thou?

Lord wanted to spend his evening with Adam, to dwell with him, instruct him, show him his plans, fellowship with him. Even after Adam fell from glory, Lord was eager to restore that relationship with his children.

In Moses unlike how people felt, Lord wanted to dwell amoung them and protect them, keep them holy as he was holy.

Psalms  65:4  Blessed is the man whom thou choosest, and causest to approach unto thee, that he may dwell in thy courts: we shall be satisfied with the goodness of thy house, even of thy holy temple.

Notice how the psalmist calls the man blessed whom

1. Lord had chosen
2. Lord gives him a chance to approach him.
3. Lord makes him dwell in his courts.

Why would he want to dwell with him?
So that we may be satisfied with the goodness of his house.

So how can we then dwell with him everyday, fellowship with him and please him?

Paul says in the following verse your body is the temple of the Lord. He mentions to keep it from sinning.

1 Corinthians  6:19  What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?

2 Corinthians  6:16  And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.

Notice here Lord again mentioned that if we keep our body as a temple.

1. Lord will dwell with us.
2. Lord will walk with us.
3. Lord will be our God.
4. And we will be considered his people.

Saints, as you read the words don't harden your hearts. Repent for any sins or mistake no matter how trivial it may seem to your eyes. Make peace with Lord as you are his temple nothing is worth in this world to be deprived of his fellowship.

A Mighty General

Exodus  23:27 I will send my fear before thee, and will destroy all the people to whom thou shalt come, and I will make all thine enemies turn their backs unto thee.

Praise the Lord!!

Today we will meditate upon the benefits of serving the Lord. Exodus 23 explains many benefits while serving the Lord. As I was meditating the verse that caught my attention is the above. Which shows the prowess of the Lord. Like a mighty General of a Army Lord says if you serve him three things will happen in your life.

1. He will send fear of Him before you.
2. He will destroy anyone who will come against you.
3. He will make the enemies turn their back and run away.

Let's meditate who is our enemy? Who would be constantly thinking to battle with me? Who would have all the time in the world to lay a conspiracy against me?

Job  1:12 And the LORD said unto Satan, Behold, all that he hath is in thy power; only upon himself put not forth thine hand. So Satan went forth from the presence of the LORD.

Scripture says Satan is our enemy who would constantly think of troubling you through temptations and trials. You would think your brother or that person had something against you. No!! It is Satan, we don't have enemies in flesh and blood but they are used by our enemy Satan.

Ephesians  6:12  For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

Saints, scripture says today as we serve him, that person that troubles you in your ministry, in your workplace, in your relationship will be taken care by the Lord. Many time we get dejected and are low thinking what is the use of all this labour.

Hebrews  6:10  For God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labour of love, which ye have shewed toward his name, in that ye have ministered to the saints, and do minister.

God knows your troubles, your patience in him. He is not a silent spectator or a teacher of a examination as some people thinks but he is a General of a mighty Army who would enter the fire along with you like he entered in the furnace alongside Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego. Yes!!! Our Lord will never leave or forsake you. Quit thinking you are alone. As you pray today believe that he has answered the prayers.

As it is written

Mark  11:24  Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.

Impartial God

Exodus  23:3 Neither shalt thou countenance a poor man in his cause.

Praise the Lord!!

Today we will meditate about the impartial nature of God. When I was reading this verse it struck me how much God is careful in dealing with people. This verse has another translation as do not show favoritism to a poor person in a lawsuit

In today world it is a common thing to follow the crowd. People always follow others without knowing the truth of the matter. As Pastor T D Jakes says we have all kinds of animals, one with 4 legs and 2 legs.

We need to be careful by not getting ourselves yoked with wicked.

How can you identify whether you are getting yourselves yoked with a wicked. The answer is in previous verses.

1. You will never be a partaker to the false report. You will never believe the lies about the person whom you know.
2. You will never be a false witness.
3. You will not follow the crowd to do evil.
4. You will never do anything to jeopardize the truth.
5.  You will never show any partiality to anyone.

Paul says :
2 Corinthians  6:14  Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?

If you do as the rest of the world do what is the difference between you and them.

Psalms  1:1 Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.

As psalmist say Lord calls you blessed if you don't walk in the ungodly counsel, sitting in the sinners way and scorning the people in jest.

Let's prepare our hearts to follow the Lord with all our heart, soul, mind and spirit.

Let's be careful not to show any favouritism in our workplace or wherever we are posted.

Kindling the fire

Exodus  22:6 If fire break out, and catch in thorns, so that the stacks of corn, or the standing corn, or the field, be consumed therewith; he that kindled the fire shall surely make restitution.

Praise the Lord!!

Today we will meditate upon kindling a fire. At first instance it appears very trivial, why would God put such a condition something that seems so obvious to any human eyes. But God is Lord who knows the end.

Why would we kindle the fire against someone? What do you mean by kindling a fire? Why is God so mindful about this issue?

Kindling a fire against your own brother is feeling jealous, envious about your brother. Inspite of being spiritually and worldly blessed and having talent. If one is still envious and bad mouth about others. Scripture says you are kindling a fire against your brother.

In old testament they would use the actual fire to burn out the field of the brother. In new testament we use the term fire to signify a  very small but very significant portion of our body. That is our tongue.

James  3:6  And the tongue is a fire, a world of iniquity: so is the tongue among our members, that it defileth the whole body, and setteth on fire the course of nature; and it is set on fire of hell.
James  3:8  But the tongue can no man tame; it is an unruly evil, full of deadly poison.

Let's find out some truth about this part of the body.

1. Tongue is a fire.
2. It has a world of iniquity.
3. It defiles the entire body.
4. It can take a person to hell.
5. It is unruly evil.
6. It is a deadly poison.
7. It is set on hell fire.

Now we understand why did the apostles receive the Holy Spirit as cloven tongues of fire.

Acts  2:3  And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them.

In old testament it was written that anyone who kindles a fire has to make a restitution. In new testament we also have to make restitution. You may say how??

Matthew  12:36  But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment.

Jesus said every idle word will be judged so saints, let's be careful and not kindle fire among ourselves. You may ask me brother how to speak with each other.

It is written, Ephesians  4:31  Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice:

Ephesians  5:19  Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord;

Let's worship the Lord not only in words but also in deeds.

God bless.

Bond slave for Christ

Exodus  21:6 Then his master shall bring him unto the judges; he shall also bring him to the door, or unto the door post; and his master shall bore his ear through with an aul; and he shall serve him for ever.

Praise the Lord!!

Today we will meditate upon bond slaves. Israel had a set rules for bond slaves. Deuteronomy chapter 21 discuss about bond slaves and how they need to act.

Requisite of a bond slave

1. A bond slave would have no right to speak, he needs to follow instructions from his master.
2. He does not have the right to live on his own.
3. If the bond slave is an Hebrew then he will serve for 6 years and 7th year he will be free. If he brings his wife they will go with him.
4. If his master gave him a wife then he will go free, but his wife and children will stay.

It might sound really cruel because being a bond slave means devoid of all rights, freedom and complete dependence on the earthly master.

Sometimes the master would be cruel and would ill-treat the slaves like their own property. There would be at times when they injure or probably these bond slaves would die out of ill-treatment.

Matthew  11:29  Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.

Matthew  11:30  For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.

Now let's compare with the bond slave with Christ as a master.

Yoke is put upon ox who do not subject themselves to the commands of the master. In general ox would have to go through lot of pain and struggle to have the yoke.

But Lord Jesus says His yoke is easy. We have a Lord who put the yoke on us to give rest to our souls.

A bond servant of Christ.
1. Receives rest for his soul.
2. Receives deliverance from all his affliction.
3. Receives healing from all diseases.
4. Receives eternal life to be with his master.
5. Receives joy, peace and love daily from his master.

Saints let's yearn to be yoked under the mighty hand of God. Today as you hear the words don't harden your hearts but submit to his calling.

Paul's says.

Philippians  1:13  So that my bonds in Christ are manifest in all the palace, and in all other places;

2 Timothy  2:9  Wherein I suffer trouble, as an evil doer, even unto bonds; but the word of God is not bound.

His undying love for Christ helped him to suffer all the persecution with a smile as he said For me living is Christ and dying is gain.

Angel of God

Exodus  23:20 Behold, I send an Angel before thee, to keep thee in the way, and to bring thee into the place which I have prepared.

Praise the Lord!!

Today we will meditate upon the Angel of God. Lord promises that he will send an Angel who will do 5 things for you. This Angel will

1. Guide you.
2. Keep you.
3. Bring you to the place prepared by God.
4. Protect you from the enemies
5. Sustain you

Lord is very jealous about his children. He ensures that his children are well-fed and taken care of. However still Israel were not acknowledging the hand of God and would again and again rebel against him.

It is wonderful to note that the Angel led them to the place which were occupied by giants. Though Israel were no match for the giants. Still God said he will help them to occupy the land. Think about it what would that war be where Israel who were appeared like a grasshopper towards the enemies defeated them and occupied the land.

It is written not by your might, not by power but by the spirit.

So what do we learn from this when we obey to the voice of the Lord and not harden our hearts. Lord will be our personal friend. We don't need anybody else when he is our saviour.

Commit your works unto the Lord and your thoughts will be established.

He will send an Angel who will lead you to the promised land. Many times we take the matter in our own hands and wonder why we are not successful. When we listen to the small still voice of the Lord guiding us every day. We can be assured that even if there is a storm in our lives. Lord will lead us to a place safely.

Restitution for your loss

Exodus  22:12 And if it be stolen from him, he shall make restitution unto the owner thereof.

Praise the Lord!!

Today we will meditate upon this scripture which implies that whatever is stolen by the thief he has to make restitution for the loss.

Restitution means restoration of something lost or stolen to its proper owner. It also means that recompense for injury or loss.

Think about it, when are feeling lonely, dejected, depressed what actually happens is that the enemy has robbed your happiness.

We don't have physical enemy, our neighbors, foes, colleagues or family members are not your enemies. Bible says in Ephesians  6:12  For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

Who is this enemy? He is Satan who comes to do 3 things.

John  10:10  The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.

He comes to :
1. Steal
2. Kill
3. Destroy

Jesus has come to give you life in abundance. He is the way, truth and life. No one can come to the Father except through him. Today when you are feeling low and feel your joy has been robbed. Come to Jesus, surrender your heart to Christ. Call him and he will answer you and show you marvelous things.

Jesus said he will give you peace.

John  14:27  Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.

Today commit your life to the Lord, make Jesus your Lord and saviour, surrender to him and invite him into your heart. Say this simple prayer.

Prayer
Lord Jesus, I repent for my sins, I have done many mistakes. Come into my heart, I make you my Lord and saviour. Holy spirit lead me to Christ. Jesus I believe you are the son of God. You rose from the grave and will be coming soon to judge the world. Forgive me for the sins I have done knowingly and presumptuously.

Friends if you pray this simple prayer we believe you are born again. Get connected to a good Bible based church and give God first place.

Carrying your dead beast

Exodus  21:34 The owner of the pit shall make it good, and give money unto the owner of them; and the dead beast shall be his.

Praise the Lord!!

Today we will meditate upon another scripture which deals with dead beast. This scripture deals with lots of spiritual issues which are faced by people. Lots of people are carrying the dead beast upon their shoulders and wonder what is wrong with them. Dead beast means past hurt, humiliation, bitterness, offense.

In this world we face lots of people who are not always nice to us. Some render evil for good. Many face issues like betrayal and offense from their own families.

But they carry these dead beast around and refuse to be healed. Today we meet two types of people in this scripture.

1. One who own the dead beast.
These people who own a beast are people who didn't do anything wrong but has been hurt by people who are close to them. Sometimes your friends, families, well wishers will go against you and say things behind your back. If you keep carrying that hurt all the life. Bible says you are carrying a dead beast. You need to move on. Other day I was reading about 2 Timothy 3:1-5. You meet all sorts of people mentioned in that scripture, I have met a lots of them but if you carry that burden all along. You can never progress ahead.

Matthew  11:28  Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.

Come unto Jesus as He is the answer to those who are burdened with hurt. Surrender your life and give him space to heal you. You don't need to pray long prayers. He knows your heart. He was betrayed, tempted, humiliated, insulted, spitted upon, put up on the cross. But still he did not take the burden but forgave them and moved on.

2. One who owns the pit and carries the beast.
These type of people are what Bible says are narcissistic people who dig pit for people and expects other to fall into them. Such people are narcissistic in nature they can never be happy in finding other successful. Bible talks again in 2 Timothy 3:1-5 about these people who bring hurt, humiliation and insult people and feed upon their humiliation. It gives them pleasure for insulting them..Yes we find different types of people who would take pleasure in hurting other people. But sometimes when the tables are turned or in the beginning of their life they carry or the Bible says they own the dead beast. Wherever they go they carry that dead beast along. That resentful nature, hurt, complaining attitude and spoil the environment by their constant complaint.  Bible says you need to be joyful in the Lord.

James  1:2  My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations;. Another scripture says rejoice again I say rejoice.

Be joyful in heart spread the good news then you will find the world a beautiful place to live.

Honouring Parents

Exodus  20:12 Honour thy father and thy mother: that thy days may be long upon the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee.

Praise the Lord!!

Today we will meditate upon an important topic about honouring parents. Honouring those who begot you, gave you all the happiness, moulded you into what you are right now. Yes!! I am talking about honouring father and mother. It is extremely important to God that we should honour them because there are 3 types of blessing in honouring them.

1. Thy days will be long.
Here we workout, have excellent food. Do everything what the nutritionist say and follow a strict regime but God gives you long and fruitful life by honouring your parents. When we forgive and forget every mistakes that they might have made. You are honouring them. When you spend time with your parents, you are honouring them.

2. Blessed while you work.
We always want blessing and will take extreme steps to procure it. God says when we honour our parents. He releases blessing in our life. Your life will never be the same again. Understand this verse says that which God gives unto thee. We might think I work hard, am self motivated, try everything possible under the sun to be successful, listen to all the motivational speech. So why do I need God. No friends!! We need him because it is written all the gold and silver is mine. For everlasting happiness you need to do what He says.

3. Obedience to his word.

Hebrews  3:15  While it is said, To day if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts, as in the provocation.

When we don't harden our hearts and listen to what the creator says. We release a blessing in our lives.

It is strange that God had earlier said in Genesis that.

Genesis  2:24 Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh.

This scripture is highly misinterpreted and many leave their parents and stop loving them and focused only in loving their wife.

Friends!! Jesus said that if you don't love the person whom you can see with your natural eyes. How can you say you love God.

What does it mean by honouring our parents?

Dictionary meaning for honour is regard with great respect.

When we regard somebody in great respect we tend to overlook their shortcomings and their mistakes.

Just Obey

Exodus  19:24 And the LORD said unto him, Away, get thee down, and thou shalt come up, thou, and Aaron with thee: but let not the priests and the people break through to come up unto the LORD, lest he break forth upon them.

Praise the Lord!!

In this verse we find the true character of Moses. Moses was a man who was very handsome, having vision for himself, had great pride in his people. He would not think twice before murdering an Egyptian for his brother.
Moses had these qualities.

1. Zeal for his brothers.
2. Proud of his culture.
3. Proud of his race.
4. Great vision about himself.
5. Great vision about his people.

But everything was shattered when he murdered a man in his anger and had to flee from Pharaoh's presence. Further he was frustrated when his plans were not working. But Lord had a another plan for him. But before that he had to learn a important lesson to Trust Him.

In the previous verse he was directing God that Israel would listen to Him and that he need not go down and inform them not to come near. But Lord knows us better than we know ourselves. Obedience is a key to please God no matter what you face today. Obey his small still voice as he gives you direction.

Moses learnt to obey and went on to become a friend of a God. Anybody who would offend Moses would have to face God. How was it possible on when we trust and obey.

Peculiar Treasure

Exodus  19:5 Now therefore, if ye will obey my voice indeed, and keep my covenant, then ye shall be a peculiar treasure unto me above all people: for all the earth is mine:

Praise the Lord!!!

Today we will meditate about what Lord thinks about you. In this verse Lord says that we are His Peculiar Treasure, what we do when we have a treasure. We would

1. Keep it in a safe place.
2. Take pride in it
3. Show them to people in pride.
4. Clean them daily so that they keep shining always.
5. Love them unconditional.

Lord says we are his treasure and we are always in his minds. Lord never slumbers or sleeps he is always mindful about us.

What we need to do be His treasure.

1. Obedience to his command.
2. Obedience to his statutes.
3. Obedience to his law.
4. Follow his covenant.
5. Listen to his voice and not to harden the hearts.

If we do that what benefits we get.

1. Unconditional support from the creator.
2. All the needs are met.
3. Comfort in the times of peril.
4. Honourable in the eyes of the world.
5. Rewarding his people with eternal life.
6. Keeping them from falling or sinning.
7. Lord will be with you even untill your end of age. (Old age).

Saints, have you found the Lord. Is he in your works, mind and soul. Do you love him unconditionally. Is your soul yearning to be with him every day. Do you think about him all the time. Saints, King David would always find an opportunity to praise him and go to Lord's house. If he can find time for the Lord how much more we must find time.

Job was a man who was God's servant and God took pride in him. Though he faced lots of problems still God did not leave him but have him double blessings for all that he had lost.

God bless

Heavy Hands

Exodus  17:12 But Moses' hands were heavy; and they took a stone, and put it under him, and he sat thereon; and Aaron and Hur stayed up his hands, the one on the one side, and the other on the other side; and his hands were steady until the going down of the sun.

Praise the Lord!!

Today we will meditate upon the first battle of Israel against the Amalekites. Israel left Egypt and Lord took them through a long journey and through the short one so that he could help them to be warrior. And be expert in war, notice something that Lord knew they would need his help and support. Still He made them to travel for 40 years so that they would be experienced in warfare.

Lord delays you prayer sometimes and makes it look that you will be defeated. But Lord is God of Justice he will never leave you Fatherless.

Moses was a man of prayer and was praying for the Israelites and his hands were  heavy. Sometimes we get tired praying for the loved one. That salvation prayer and prayer for deliverance seem to hard. Notice how Aaron and Hur held Moses hands up.

What does that tell us.

1. Never stop praying for the deliverance for others.
2. Have a circle of prayer warriors and regularly pray with them.
3. Don't quench the Spirit.

Saints I know it is tough because when your family and friends are under a stronghold of enemies. You may get tired, dejected, frustrated and feel hopeless.

But Lord is a prayer answering God. He will ensure that your prayers are answered and you receive the full promise.

God bless

Fear Not!! Stand Still

Exodus 14:13 And Moses said unto the people, Fear ye not, stand still, and see the salvation of the Lord, which he will shew to you to day: for the Egyptians whom ye have seen to day, ye shall see them again no more for ever.

Praise the Lord!!

Today we will deal with issues of fear. What is fear? why do a person fear? What happens when we fear. There has been many motivational dealing with this topic. In various social media and lectures we can find speakers dealing with this burning issue.

FEAR- Dictionary meaning is "an unpleasant emotion caused by the threat of danger, pain, or harm: "

Fear is an emotion in that situation the way we react will determine whether we fear or at peace.

Israelites were very distraught because they did not have any place to go. Matthew Henry Commentary states. There was no way open to Israel but upward, and thence their deliverance came."

Notice when you are troubled beyond your measure so as to speak, you will get help from God. Lord will never leave you in lurk and allow you to find the answer yourself. Then why do people face so many problems. Why do people go under depression and don't find any answer for the their issue.

2 Corinthians 5:7 says "For we walk by faith, not by sight."

When we walk in faith Lord does something miraculous.

1. Lord will show you his salvation from your enemies.
2. Lord will wipe out your enemies in front of your eyes.
3. Lord will establish you and comfort you.

So what we need to do today. FEAR NOT AND STAND STILL, expect the mighty deliverance from the Lord. Jesus is the same yesterday, today and for evermore.

Standing still is a very difficult exercise, we might think we need a mountain of faith to accomplish this task. No! the truth is you just need a faith of a mustard seed. Lord looks for the little faith and will do great things.

Today when you feel troubled, lonely, fearful and surrounded by family and friends still not having any one whom you could speak to. Look up!! have faith, Jesus is a true friend, who will never leave and forsake you.

God Bless.

Returning to slavery mindset

Exodus  16:3 And the children of Israel said unto them, Would to God we had died by the hand of the LORD in the land of Egypt, when we sat by the flesh pots, and when we did eat bread to the full; for ye have brought us forth into this wilderness, to kill this whole assembly with hunger.

Praise the Lord!!

I would like to meditate upon a slavery mindset. In this series of Israel Exodus from Egypt. Notice how they were all prone to slavery. That even though they were crying to God for their deliverance. Now when they face little issues they want to go back to Egypt.

In this way we also when we face issues after accepting Jesus as our Lord.

1. We would face opposition from family.
2. We would face opposition from our enemies.
3. We would lose opportunity which we thought is good for us.
4. We would lose the love of the relatives who said they will be with us.
5. We would like Job would face some disease in our body.

Saints, God doesn't promise that you will never be afflicted in your Christian life. But he promised you that though you may be afflicted a thousand times. He will deliver you from them all.

Today quit thinking why did this happen? Why I am in poverty? Why should I be in such a disfunctional family? When are my parents going to stop fighting?

Saints, God has allowed this to happen because he is going to do something supernatural in your life. So that you can testify his glory to the millions.

Quit complaining, whining, murmuring find out the joy and peace of God. Bible says seek Peace and Pursue it.

God bless

Seed of Greatness

Exodus  15:7 And in the greatness of thine excellency thou hast overthrown them that rose up against thee: thou sentest forth thy wrath, which consumed them as stubble.

Praise the Lord!!
Saints it is so wonderful to meditate upon the word of God. I had taken the task to finish at least 2-3 chapters every day. But I can tell you that when you pray and read the Bible. God speaks through his words and you meditate and are not able to fill your quota of reading through the chapters. I am so blessed to find a God who has word for me every morning. He speaks and listens too. He know everything about you.

Today we will talk about seed of greatness in you. Lord's excellence is mentioned and something deep down is worth thinking about.

Lord's excellency
1. Overthrows his enemies
2. Sends his wrath
3. Consumes them like stubble.

I could not help wondering when did Pharaoh led a war against the Lord. He was not letting Israel go and refused to listen to them and give them hard labour.

Isaiah  43:1 But now thus saith the LORD that created thee, O Jacob, and he that formed thee, O Israel, Fear not: for I have redeemed thee, I have called thee by thy name; thou art mine.

Notice what God said you are mine. Anyone who hurts you will have to deal with me. Saints we have a seed of greatness. As long as we remain in his mighty hand. We need not worry and get troubled. Each day praise him for his goodness and expect big things from God. I have seen people who had humble beginnings but were supernaturally blessed because they praised God.

Today you might be troubled and thinking it is not worth it. You need to speak to your soul like the psalmist said. Hope in the Lord.

God bless.

Dangerous roads

Exodus  14:2 Speak unto the children of Israel, that they turn and encamp before Pihahiroth, between Migdol and the sea, over against Baalzephon: before it shall ye encamp by the sea.

Exodus14:3 For Pharaoh will say of the children of Israel, They are entangled in the land, the wilderness hath shut them in.

Praise the Lord!!!

Today we will meditate upon our minds stuck in-between 2 roads, junction, dangers, opinions.

In this life we are instructed by the Lord to always trust him. In the above verse Israel left Egypt and headed for Canaan and Lord didn't take them through a small route, but led them through the wilderness.

Sometimes enemies will rejoice in your failures or say things which will tear your heart. You may wonder where is God? Why is this delay? But you need to understand Lord's plan before complaining. Joseph trusted God and was patient in his life.

If we have faith and trust him, he will ensure that we are well fed even in the wilderness.

Lord is a able God.

1. He will always lead you
2. He will feed you with manna.
3. He will protect you from all diseases.
4. He will never allow your enemies to rejoice over you.
5. He will ensure that his plan is fulfilled upon you.

Today as we face troubles and trials in our lives. If we are stuck and are not moving anywhere. Let's trust him as he knows what he is doing.

God bless

Lord's right hand

Exodus  15:6 Thy right hand, O LORD, is become glorious in power: thy right hand, O LORD, hath dashed in pieces the enemy.

Praise the Lord!!

Today we will meditate upon the right hand of Lord. Lord has repeatedly mentioned about his right hand. Right hand denotes strength, valour. Lord is saying that he protects his children and destroy his enemies with his right hand.

What does that mean? Lord is a person not a empty air, space, power. He is a person who cares about his children as a father cares for his children.

Lord's hand
1. Gives protection from enemies.
2. His hand is glorious in power.
3. His hand dashes enemies upon the stone.
4. His hand gives pleasure which are unseen to us.
5. His right hand holds you up.

Today pray that you be under the mighty hand of God. His hand will always protect you and lead you to your destination.

Psalms  16:11  Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore.

Psalms  118:16  The right hand of the LORD is exalted: the right hand of the LORD doeth valiantly.

Saints, psalmist says the right hand of the Lord is exalted and does valiant things. Trust the Lord with all your heart and do not lean on your understanding.

Man of War

Exodus  15:3 The LORD is a man of war: the LORD is his name.

Good Morning Saints,

Today we are meditating on the Israelites and their journey in the wilderness.

These verse is a jubliant cry to everyone as Lord fulfilled his promised and set the Israelites on a new journey.

When we accept Jesus as our Lord and saviour, people are initially very happy and jubliant and slowly once they are tested in the furnace of affliction. We complain, murmur and speak against Lord.

Today when we face troubles in the life. Remember we have a man of war who is Lord. He will never sleep or slumber but his eyes are always on this people.

He will vindicate you from your enemies and your foes.

1. Lord is a man of war
2. Lord is a jealous God.
3. Lord is holy
4. Lord is righteous judge.
5. Lord is all merciful.

Lord will protect you and save you from all your troubles which causes fear in your hearts, today let's trust the Lord and his ways. He is a man of war, no-one can annull his plans. No one can take his children from his hands. His ways are not our ways. His thinking is not our thinking.

Isaiah  49:16  Behold, I have graven thee upon the palms of my hands; thy walls are continually before me.

Way of the wilderness

Exodus  13:18 But God led the people about, through the way of the wilderness of the Red sea: and the children of Israel went up harnessed out of the land of Egypt.

Good Morning Saints,

Today we will meditate upon the way of the wilderness. Israel was freed from the bondage but were not sent from a short route but a long route to Canaan.

Sometimes Lord allows things to happen, that fulfilment of promise seems too long to be accomplished. That marriage seems never to be fulfilled. That trouble seems never to be ceased. That disease seems never to be healed.

But Lord has a different plan, he uses the ways of the wilderness to develop you for better battles to come. When a child keeps growing the parents are always in lookout of giving more challenges. It doesn't mean they don't love the child but they want him/her to be strong and be able to be self reliant.

Similarly Lord uses these ways of wilderness to develop it patience, which develops your character.

James  1:3 Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience.
James 1:4 But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.

Saints, today when you fall in divers temptation and trials be joyful as your God knows what you are going through and will never leave you Fatherless.

God bless
