Exodus 23:3 Neither shalt thou countenance a poor man in his cause.
Praise the Lord!!
Today we will meditate about the impartial nature of God. When I was reading this verse it struck me how much God is careful in dealing with people. This verse has another translation as do not show favoritism to a poor person in a lawsuit
In today world it is a common thing to follow the crowd. People always follow others without knowing the truth of the matter. As Pastor T D Jakes says we have all kinds of animals, one with 4 legs and 2 legs.
We need to be careful by not getting ourselves yoked with wicked.
How can you identify whether you are getting yourselves yoked with a wicked. The answer is in previous verses.
1. You will never be a partaker to the false report. You will never believe the lies about the person whom you know.
2. You will never be a false witness.
3. You will not follow the crowd to do evil.
4. You will never do anything to jeopardize the truth.
5. You will never show any partiality to anyone.
Paul says :
2 Corinthians 6:14 Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?
If you do as the rest of the world do what is the difference between you and them.
Psalms 1:1 Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.
As psalmist say Lord calls you blessed if you don't walk in the ungodly counsel, sitting in the sinners way and scorning the people in jest.
Let's prepare our hearts to follow the Lord with all our heart, soul, mind and spirit.
Let's be careful not to show any favouritism in our workplace or wherever we are posted.
God bless
