Numbers 11:23 And the LORD said unto Moses, Is the LORD's hand waxed short? thou shalt see now whether my word shall come to pass unto thee or not.
Praise the Lord!
Today we will meditate upon the sovereignty of our Lord.
I would always wonder how Lord gave food to the Israelites in the wilderness.
It is estimated that the whole population of israelities in Egypt at the time of the exodus was between 2 and 5 million. According to the above estimates of the population of Israel, the people of Israel would be greater than the entire population of Egypt.
This thought also occurred in the minds of Moses. When he questioned the sovereignity of our Lord.
Moses said in the previous verse:
Numbers 11:21 And Moses said, The people, among whom I am, are six hundred thousand footmen; and thou hast said, I will give them flesh, that they may eat a whole month.
Numbers 11:22 Shall the flocks and the herds be slain for them, to suffice them? or shall all the fish of the sea be gathered together for them, to suffice them?
He was looking at the circumstances and doing the calculation to feed the people.
But Lord's thoughts are not his thoughts.
What can we learn from this verse.
1. Don't look into your circumstances. Lord is above and able to bless you more than you can ever imagine.
2. Keep the faith. Because it is written without faith we cannot please God.
3. Bless the Lord at all times. Because we find that many Israelites didn't make it to Canaan because they murmured always.
Saints, you might be going through a rough patch in your life. You might be thinking to quit, but today I want to encourage you to hold in to the promise.
Lord says:
Habakkuk 2:3 For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry.
Your vision will surely come to pass and you will be victorious, irrespective of who thinks, or what people think about you.
His promises in your life is Amen..
God Bless
