Salt is very important for our life.
1. YOU ARE IN THE NEW COVENANT WITH THE LORD THROUGH SALT
Salt in you will make you to pray for people
Numbers 18:19 All the heave offerings of the holy things, which the children of Israel offer unto the LORD, have I given thee, and thy sons and thy daughters with thee, by a statute for ever: it is a covenant of salt for ever before the LORD unto thee and to thy seed with thee.
2 Chronicles 13:5 Ought ye not to know that the LORD God of Israel gave the kingdom over Israel to David for ever, even to him and to his sons by a covenant of salt?
Your covenant with the Lord passes on your families.
Acts 16:31 And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house.
2. VALLEY OF SALT (YOU MUST BE IN ASSOCIATION WITH PRAYER WARRIORS)
Salt in you will love the association of brothers
When you are dejected and sorrowful where is your feet leading you?
You must seek the face of the Lord in the valley of tears with prayer warriors. You must be present in prayer meeting.
2 Chronicles 25:11 And Amaziah strengthened himself, and led forth his people, and went to the valley of salt, and smote of the children of Seir ten thousand.
3. YOU MUST REJOICE IN THE LORD ALWAYS AT ALL TIMES
Salt in you will make you rejoice.
Job 6:6 Can that which is unsavoury be eaten without salt? or is there any taste in the white of an egg?
4. YOU MUST TRUST THE LORD AT ALL TIMES
Salt in you life will make you to trust the Lord all times.
Jeremiah 17:5 Thus saith the LORD; Cursed be the man that trusteth in man, and maketh flesh his arm, and whose heart departeth from the LORD.
Jeremiah 17:6 For he shall be like the heath in the desert, and shall not see when good cometh; but shall inhabit the parched places in the wilderness, in a salt land and not inhabited.
Jeremiah 17:7 Blessed is the man that trusteth in the LORD, and whose hope the LORD is.
5. YOU MUST SHOW SEPERATION IN YOUR ACTIONS.
Salt in you will help you to lead a seperation life
Ezekiel 16:4 And as for thy nativity, in the day thou wast born thy navel was not cut, neither wast thou washed in water to supple thee; thou wast not salted at all, nor swaddled at all.
6. YOU MUST PROJECT GOD'S LOVE IN YOUR CHARACTER
Salt in you will keep from sinning and be blameless
Matthew 5:13 Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be salted? it is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men.
7. YOU WILL BE JUDGED FOR YOUR UNSALTNESS
Salt in you will save you from judgement
Mark 9:49 For every one shall be salted with fire, and every sacrifice shall be salted with salt. Mark 9:50 Salt is good: but if the salt have lost his saltness, wherewith will ye season it? Have salt in yourselves, and have peace one with another.
Luke 14:34 Salt is good: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be seasoned?
8. YOU MUST BE KIND AND GENTLE IN SPEECH
Salt in you will refrain you from rude speech
Colossians 4:6 Let your speech be alway with grace, seasoned with salt, that ye may know how ye ought to answer every man.
ARE YOU READY TO BE THAT VESSEL / BOWL FOR THE LORD TO TRANSFORM A UNFRUITFUL LAND FRUITFUL?
IF YOU SURRENDER TO CHRIST, HE WILL POUR THAT SALT TO MAKE YOU A WORTHY VESSEL.
2 Kings 2:19 And the men of the city said unto Elisha, Behold, I pray thee, the situation of this city is pleasant, as my lord seeth: but the water is naught, and the ground barren.
2 Kings 2:20 And he said, Bring me a new cruse, and put salt therein. And they brought it to him.
2 Kings 2:21 And he went forth unto the spring of the waters, and cast the salt in there, and said, Thus saith the LORD, I have healed these waters; there shall not be from thence any more death or barren land.
2 Kings 2:22 So the waters were healed unto this day, according to the saying of Elisha which he spake.
